Atonement Questions2

1. The book probably would have ended from a start, girls gossip, boys keep secrets, and yes, I'm looking to make controversy, or in the case that he were able to see what happened, a boy would tell the truth and don't get obsessed with the idea of a sex maniac.
2. It is in some extent. It shows how cruel can the war be, in relation with the separation between lovers, and later on with the injuries of battle, deaths on the battlefield, the constant suffering, etc.
3. There are parts that are macabre, especially the ending, after distracting us with a happy ending where Cecilia and Robbie end up together in London, the truth comes like a stone to the head, as we are revealed that Cecilia and Robbie were actually dead all the time, and destroys the affection we felt for the couple.
4. If Cecilia were to tell the story she would turned the story as a drama of her impossible love and he wouldn't have tell us what happened with Briony with her because she died. Robbie would have tell us the reality of war, like many other writers who were there and we couldn't know what happened with Briony as well, because you know, he died. Briony would have tell us all things with the naiveness that she had throughout the novel, making things look a little more light hearted. And if Lola told it, it would be a little bit more like a romantic novel, were she tells us how she felt in love with Paul Marshall and how she managed to have sex, of course.
